We picked up a Red Bubble Tip Anemone (RBTA) from our local fish store today. In my opinion, these are the most beautiful anemones. I would not classify these as too difficult to keep, but proper lighting and good water quality are key to their success. Since anemones will move around the tank until they find the proper spot to settle down in, I would not worry too much about where you place them because chances are they will not stay in one place for very long. After acclimating the RBTA to the water using the drip, we set it a medium distance from the lights. This is my first time keeping an RBTA and I will continue to post updates about how it goes.
This photo was taken right before drip acclimation. I will post more photos once it has opened up more.
